samozsoon
Took dogs to have blood tests today ready for their departure to Sydney. What a performance.....2 big mad dogs, one in season, one tiny consultation room, me, a nurse, and a vet with a needle! And worse was to come..... Found out that the dogs micro-chip numbers are for the wrong dog, ie Jasper has Poppys number and Poppy has Jaspers. This is gonna cause big probs according to the shippers as the import licenses have been issued for the wrong dog. If you catch my drift..... Got to take one off them back tomorrow and make 100% sure what number goes to what dog and then we'll have to apply for new licenses (more money??). To top it off, the vet that did the micro chipping was an aussie and Minlady came with me to get them done, we spent ages discussing Oz with him so its no wander he made a mistake when writing the dogs names on the micro-chip labels, obviously his mind wasn't on the job! Lets at least hope they dont fail the blood tests, now that will be a problem. Sam xx

sarahsunshine
I know the feeling! We bought our 4 year old labrador with us when we came over to Sydney and what a performance with all the blood tests! He tested positive for Lepto but only because he had the jab for it 6 months earlier. Had to have a repeat blood test to prove he didnt have the disease, why they couldnt just accept that the positive result was from the jab I dont know, especially as it was on his vaccination cert!!! Anyway we picked him up from quarantine 2 weeks ago and his tail hasent stopped wagging since! Worth all the hassle and expense to have him back with the family. Good luck and I hope it all goes well for you from now on.
